Shane Breitzke grew up in a small, Northwest Indiana town of Chesterton. He called Chesterton home until moving to Kirksville in 2013 to join his bride, Brittany, a medical student at A.T. Still University (ATSU). The now Breitzke family grew up in neighboring towns and went to the same church together since junior high. In fact, before they were a couple they went on several mission trips together including one to Guatemala in 2007.
A year prior to getting married, Shane graduated from Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) earning a theology degree while roaming the outfield for the ONU Tigers. Brittany earned her undergraduate degree from Taylor University and hopes to graduate from ATSU in 2017. Shane and Brittany have worked primarily with youth for several years in many different roles from short-term missions helpers to mentoring to youth director.
Although if you say, “The Lake” to the Breitzkes they will still think of Lake Michigan, they are grateful to call Kirksville and Cornerstone their home.
